Breathing exercise to help reduce typing stress and tensions

Sometimes, the simple act of breathing correctly can help reduce stress and tension.

Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth

  • Inhale for a count of four.
  • Pause.
  • Exhale for a count of four.
  • Repeat, but don't get dizzy.

Deep breathing has many benefits. It allows the body to relax and it reduces tensions. What happens in typing and other highly repetitive work, is that you have to concentrate on the task at hand. Because you are not doing physical activities, you tend to forget that the body needs exercise.

Tensions can slowly build until they are unhealthy. So, pause when keying and deliberately take a breath. You just might feel better.
