Bending Leg Lift Loosen up your back when keyboarding.
  • Try bending while sitting in your chair to reduce typing fatigue.
  • Go slowly and don't hit your head on the desk.
  • It is difficult to develop typing skills with a stiff back.
Back Pain Exercise your legs when keyboarding.
  • Sit up straight in your typing chair.
  • Grasp the side of the chair for support.
  • Lift the left leg up and outward.
  • Hold leg up for five seconds.
  • Repeat exercise - lift right leg.

Warm up before you begin your keyboarding session. Try keyboarding faster than comfortable to build speed. Your fingers should be on their assigned home row keys. Your hands should slant upward at the same angle as the keyboard. Only allow the finger needed in actually striking a key to move. All other fingers should remain on their assigned home row key.

Sit erect and lean slightly forward when keyboarding. Follow the instructions offered by the "Little Professor" in the
NimbleFingers program and you will learn touch typing quickly.

Even if you never download or use the
NimbleFingers program, please follow the hints and exercises which appear throughout this WEB site. We are keyboarding teachers and we want to improve the quality of your life.
