Healthy Typing - Limbs & Body Exercise - Aerobics

Come on! Get with the program and listen to the beat! Put on your favorite music and get started.

Not everyone is into aerobics, and perhaps not everyone can learn the wave. However, if they are organized and use the NimbleFingers program, they can learn typing quickly. Where else can you have fun, while learning how to type?
The purpose of these exercises is to get you to do something! Don't just sit there when you take a break. MOVE IT! Look at the exercises, and try your favorite to get your blood circulating and reduce tensions. At the end of these series of exercises, I'm going to ask you: which exercise are you going to do?

It does not matter which exercise you select to reduce stress and tensions, but do something!

Typing Hints and Tricks
Do not look at your fingers when keyboarding. If you start looking at your fingers when typing, you will never learn how to type quickly and accurately. Once started, this poor habit is extremely difficult to correct. The computer will provide a beep for an incorrect keystroke. This immediate feedback will assist you in quickly learning the correct keystrokes. Just concentrate on using the correct finger to strike the key.

Learning to type. You learn how to type by developing motor reflex patterns that enable your fingers to strike the correct keys automatically. If the keyboard or posture position changes, sound typing skills will not develop. Always maintain correct posture while typing. If you do not sit up “straight” and keep your feet flat on the floor, the angle of your arms will change; thus changing the keystroke reach. This throws off your typing speed and accuracy.

Develop a routine. Set the work environment like you want it to optimize your typing sessions. Don’t let the chair height; tilt of the monitor, location of the keyboard or posture vary from session to session.

Try these exercise. Spend a couple of minutes and try some of the exercises shown in the www.nimblefinger.com web site. They will help reduce tension and stress. And of course, remember to smile. Smiling releases tensions. You and the people around you will feel better.

Typing errors. When an error is made, retype the key immediately! Don’t think about it, your brain knows it didn’t communicate correctly with your finger. Just retype the key and move on!

Tired? When tired, take a break. Fatigue can result in your concentration wandering, and when this happens, you are not doing a good job of training your fingers. Come back to this web site, and practice the exercises shown to relieve stress and tension.
