These FREE downloadable exercises can be used to customize the Word Wacker and the Typing & Data Entry programs.

Did you complete the beginning keystroke exercises? Is you speed too slow? Do you feel like you should have higher speed and accuracy? If so, it is time for Flash Cards!

Fun! But very fast. Words and word phrases are flashed on the screen. Then you have a brief time to type the word, or else it is counted as an error. When you begin, select the option to leave the word displayed for a longer period of time. At least that will give you a fighting chance.

Random Order. Words are presented in random order. You can improve your speed and accuracy keying a vast number of different words. Flash cards is fun, but the pace is furious!

Key the whole word. Stop thinking of individual letters in a word. Train yourself to think of the word as a whole, and to key the word as a whole. For example, do not key “t,” “h,” and “e” as individual letters in the word “the.” Look at the word “the” and key the word “the” without thinking of the individual letters.

Want to learn key terms? Do you want to learn the key terms used in a desired occupation? Review the exercises for interesting categories and download the exercise.

Errors will happen. When a keying error is made, the error will be highlighted. You will be given a chance at the end of a session to retype the errors made.

Tired of people borrowing pencils? I ask the students to leave a shoe by my pencil box. When I get my pencil back, they get their shoe back. They laugh at first, but I get my pencils back.

Re-key exercise. After you have completed an entire exercise, if time permits, re-key the same exercise. The words are presented in random order, so a different "batch" of words will appear for keying.
